Hotel Heliotopos, Santorini inland
Heliotopos hotel is situated at the highest point of the Santorini caldera, facing the famous volcano and the sun which sets beyond the sea.
It is a complex of one - and two storey houses built according to the traditional Santorini architecture on the foundations of the old structures. It operates since 1990 and has been classified as a traditional style hotel by the Greek National Tourism Organisation.
In the year 2002 the U.S. television station "Travel Channel" voted Heliotopos hotel as the Number one wedding destination out of 10 other top destinations worldwide and in the year 2006 during the Philoxenia International Tourism Exhibition in Thessaloniki, Heliotopos hotel received the 1st award in the categories "best breakfast in a hotel" and "most romantic" hotel in Greece
